Robiola of Roccaverano DOP
The Robiola of Roccaverano is the only Italian cheese DOP (Protected Designation of Origin) that can be produced: exclusively with goat’s milk, with goat’s and cow’s milk, with goat’s and sheep’s milk. Robiola cheese is always made with unpasteurized milk.

You can find many wine cellars all over the region, the nearest ones being in Loazzolo, Canelli, Nizza Monferrato as well as the largest wine cellars of Barolo and Barbaresco.
You can taste some of the best wines of the region : Barbera, Dolcetto, Nizza, Nebbiolo, Barbaresco, Barolo, Moscato, Cortese, Arneis, Chardonnay, Alta Langa ….. and many others.
Not to be missed are the underground Cathedral wine cellars in Canelli, a Unesco World Heritage Site. These consist of kilometres of tunnels excavated directly in the volcanic ash rock of the hills between the 16th
and 19th century.
The Fiera Internazionale del Tartufo Bianco d’Alba (The International White Truffle Festival in Alba) now also promotes the food and wine specialities of the region and the Langhe traditions.
Sport and Nature
This is the perfect place for relaxation – you can go for walks in the beautiful hills or enjoy the many cycling routes, which are classed in order of difficulty, distance and elevation gain.
